A recipe for rich and utterly delicious blondies, with that perfect combination of chocolate and peanut butter. Ready in less than 30 minutes! Use chunky peanut butter if you like the peanut bits, though smooth peanut butter will work as well.

  • 225g margarine or butter
  • 400g caster sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 260g chunky peanut butter
  • 250g plain flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 340g plain chocolate chips

  1. Preheat oven to 180 C / Gas 4. Line a swissroll tin with baking parchment.
  2. In a medium bowl, cream together the margarine and sugar. Beat in the eggs, one at a time. Stir in the vanilla and peanut butter until smooth. Combine the flour and baking powder, then stir into the peanut butter mixture. Finally, fold in the chocolate chips. Spread the mixture out flat on the prepared tin.
  3. Bake for 12 to 15 minutes in the preheated oven, until the tops of the blondies look dry. Cool in tin, then cut into squares.

Delicious. I used a glass 9x13, parchment paper on bottom and sprayed with pam. Baked about 25 minutes until top looked dry and toothpick was dry (although knife came out wet, it was perfect. You don't want to cook these all the way through). I reccomend 1 cup white, 1 cup packed brown sugar. I used butter. Use 1 1/4 c peanut butter, 1 1/2 tsp baking pwdr, 1 3/4 c chocolate chips.-26 Jan 2006


Chocolate Peanut Butter Blondies

Guys, I have the ultimate peanut butter treat for you today. You will not miss those peanut butter cups when you try these Chocolate Peanut Butter Blondies &ndash trust me, they are that good!

We start off with a blondie layer that is so deliciously thick and fudgy, and is loaded with peanut butter flavour. They&rsquore perfect on their own, but today I&rsquom taking them over-the-top good.

I&rsquove topped these blondies off with a layer of creamy chocolate that is stuffed full of salted peanuts. Because who doesn&rsquot love the combination of sweet and salty? Peanut butter and chocolate?

These bars are a peanut butter lover&rsquos dream!


To begin making this easy blondie recipe, combine the melted butter with brown sugar and granulated sugar in a large bowl.

Beat until well combined, about 2 minutes.

Mix on low until just blended.

Add the chocolate chips and nuts.

Transfer the batter to the prepared pan.

Bake for 25 to 30 minutes, until the top is set and lightly golden. Set the pan on a wire rack to cool.

Using the parchment overhang, lift the blondie “cake” from the pan and transfer it to a cutting board.

Cut into 16 squares and serve warm or room temperature. Store the blondies in an airtight container at room temperature.

These are so good you literally cannot stop eating them. The devil must have made these possible, lol! Peanut butter, chocolate, blondie.. perfect combination. Found this in AllYou magazine about 2 (?) years ago, had to find it again for Halloween. I ran out of mini Reese's so I used chopped regular, but I feel the mini ones turned out better. My only qualm is that the center was never fully cooked even though I followed the instructions to a T, even pan size, and the edges were burning. Next time I will be putting foil on the edges. I brought the pan to work and one of my coworkers ended up eating 1/3 of the thing BY HERSELF! Delicious, so beware!


What are Blondies?

If you’ve never heard of a blondie, they’re basically brownies without the cocoa, flavored with fragrant vanilla extract instead. Plus blondies are sweetened using brown sugar versus white sugar so they’re fantastically chewy with a tacky, dense center. They are such a treat!

This version of blondies adds peanut butter and dark chocolate chips because WHY THE HECK NOT. Ahem. That is to say, like Ross and Rachel, pizza and Joey, and Rachel and her ever-changing hair (god bless Friends re-runs) the duo of chocolate and peanut butter is iconic and absolutely delicious.

Chocolate Peanut Butter Blondies are also made in one bowl with everyday ingredients that I guarantee you have in your kitchen right now. They’re incredibly easy to whip up, and a joy to eat. And eat. And EAT. (Pass the night cream.)

Almond Flour Chocolate Chip Cookies


Ingredients

Step 1

Preheat oven to 350°F. Butter and flour 8x8x2-inch metal baking pan. Whisk 1 cup flour, salt, and baking soda in medium bowl to blend. Melt 1/2 cup butter in heavy large saucepan over low heat. Remove from heat add sugar and whisk until smooth. Cool mixture 2 minutes whisk in eggs and vanilla. Using flexible spatula, stir in flour mixture, then half of peanuts and half of chocolate chips. Spread batter in prepared pan sprinkle with remaining peanuts and chocolate chips.

Step 2

Bake blondies until golden, tester inserted into center comes out clean, and edges just begin to pull away from sides of pan, about 30 minutes cool completely in pan on rack.

Step 3

DO AHEAD: Can be made 2 days ahead. Cover tightly and store at room temperature.

I substituted almond butter for the chopped peanuts and didn't use any chocolate chips, and added a teaspoon and a half of ginger. I found the same trend I read about in the reviews: The edges and bottom around the edges burned to the point of being basically inedible in those areas. However, the ginger and almond butter gave it an amazing flavor. I think, to try to prevent the burning, I'm going to try putting it in a 9x9x2 pan next time and to improve the cakeiness, I'm going to try (although I really have no idea if this will help or hinder) using bread flour and actually stirring it to try to work the gluten to get a chewier feel to it. If that comes out funky, I think Iɽ just try to figure out how to stop the outer burn, add another 1/2 tsp of ginger, and call it almond gingerbread.

I use half quinoa/ half wheat flour carob chips instead of chocolate chips half butter and half coconut oil, and I like topping with maple butter and shredded sweetened coconut. Easy to make!!

I used 1 cup sugar. 1/2 cup applesauce instead of butter and 1/2 cup peanut butter instead of peanuts, a tablespoon of water. Heated applesauce in microwave for two minutes. Spooned some chocolate pudding in the middle. Very yummy

They are fantastic. Easy to make, moist, and the perfect combo of salt and sweet.

Ho hum. Nothing special at all - average at best. Agree with a previous reviewer that these were quite sweet and spongey. Not the texture I expected at all (I wanted soft and chewy, what we got was dry and spongey). They sat on the counter for a week or so, with no one eating them, before being thrown out. The only redeeming quality was that these were easy. Having said that, I would not make them again.

I agree with those who point out that the blondies are cakey, but we're snowed in, so this hit the spot! I didn't have peanuts and couldn't get out to get some, so we made do with chocolate chips.

If you love peanut and chocolate, this is the perfect recipe! I love the salted roasted peanuts this recipe called for. Couldn't be any easier and was a great ending to our picnic.

Nothing special..tasted way too peanuty and not enough like blondies with the chocolate chips added. Very easy though. perfect for a school or charity bakesale.

Cut sugar to 1 C . Use up pecans (4 oz, or 1/2 C +) chopped coarsely. Use up chips (5 oz). Use glass 8x8 coated with Baker's Joy. Spread batter & top generously. Yummy. I would cut the butter by 2T next time. This is so easy & quick!

Don't know if I did something wrong but mine were bizarrely spongey and too sweet.

Very nice texture and overall quite tasty. Iɽ try to find unsalted peanuts though, as they were a bit too salty for me.

I doubled the recipe into a large rectangular pan. I would recommend baking a a lower temperature and using parchment on bottom like with regular brownie baking. It was enjoyed by all and I would make them again with the above recommendations. Brenda in Vancouver, BC

People at my office loved these brownies. It almost tastes as if they are peanut butter though. We topped them as suggested and they were great.


Peanut Butter White Chocolate Blondies

I&rsquom certainly no stranger to baking with peanut butter. It&rsquos one of my favorite ingredients and flavors. If you&rsquove been following my baking adventures for a while, you are probably well aware of my affinity for it.

White chocolate, on the other hand, is not really on my list of favorites. I like it well enough, but I don&rsquot find myself clamoring to bake with it. Despite that, I find that it pairs well with so many other ingredients that I use it quite a bit to complement other flavors. Here, that idea applies with white chocolate and peanut butter.

The two flavors work wonderfully together. Peanut butter and chocolate have long been a favorite pair. But the extra sweetness of white chocolate paired with peanut butter is pretty magical, too.

Besides the primary flavor pairing, one of my favorite things about these blondies is the hint of cinnamon. It adds a delightful flavor twist that really makes these bars irresistible. If you aren&rsquot a cinnamon fan, you can simply omit it from the recipe. But if you do like it or are even on the fence about adding it to these blondies, I encourage you to try it. It really amps up the flavor.

These blondies have that fantastic crackly outside and soft, chewy inside thing going on. To attain that wonderful texture, be sure not to overbake them. You want to see a few crumbs when you do the toothpick test. They&rsquoll continue baking a bit in the hot pan once they&rsquore removed from the oven.

As much as I love peanut butter and milk or dark chocolate, these Peanut Butter White Chocolate Blondies are a nice little twist on that classic pairing. They&rsquore a bit sweeter but just as delicious!


Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Blondies

I think we all know by this point that I have a major sweet tooth, and these peanut butter chocolate chip blondies are the perfect way to satisfy any sweet craving. These give me vibes from my classic chocolate chip cookie recipe, but with an extreme upgrade. These blondies are moist, chewy, and just melt-in-your-mouth amazing!

Maybe it’s the fact that TikTok has been flooding my for-you-page with blondie recipes, but for some reason, I have been addicted to testing out new desserts in the kitchen and my most recent obsession is coming up with different ways to make blondies. I wouldn’t be surprised if by the end of this month I have almost 10 different blog posts all dedicated to blondies!

By now, you also know that no cookie, brownie, or blondie dessert for that matter is complete without a hefty scoop of the Trader Joe’s chocolate coconut ice cream, but feel free to enjoy these blondies with whatever ice-cream or extra sweets you like! Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Blondies

1/2 cup creamy peanut butter*

1 flax egg (1 tbsp flax meal + 3 tbsp water)

1/4 cup +2 tbsp almond milk

1/2 cup dairy-free chocolate chips (I love using the Hu brand)

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Coat a loaf pan in coconut oil or baking spray and set aside.

Prepare the flax egg by combining 1 tbsp flax meal and 3 tbsp of water. Set aside for 5 minutes or until the flax meal has absorbed all of the water.

In the meantime, combine the peanut butter, vanilla extract, and almond milk in a large bowl. Add in the flax egg and stir until smooth.

Add in the remainder of the ingredients and mix until combined.

Transfer the blondie batter mixture to the loaf pan and spread out evenly.

Bake in the oven for 20-25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the middle of the blondie comes out clean.

Let cool for 10-15 minutes before slicing and enjoy!

* Feel free to substitute peanut butter with almond butter or a different nut/seed butter (I have used almond butter too and they turn out heavenly!)


Chocolate Chip Peanut Butter Blondies (Vegan/GF)

This recipe for these chocolate chip peanut butter blondies is so delicious and is super easy to make. I love anything with the combination of chocolate and peanut butter. These blondies have a surprise secret ingredient that makes these babies high in protein and fiber!

The base of these is actually chickpeas! Yes, chickpeas! You don’t even taste them. A dessert that is healthy and yummy?! YES PLEASE!

I love sneaking in healthy ingredients into desserts. Chickpeas are so nutritious – they are filled with vitamins and minerals like vitamin K, folate, phosphorus, zinc, manganese, choline and selenium.

Chickpeas also contain magnesium, iron, and b6. Other benefits of chickpeas: lowers blood pressure, prevents heart disease, lowers cholesterol, high in fiber, high in plant protein, improves blood sugar and insulin levels for diabetics, reduces inflammation, aids in preventing constipation, and so much more!

Moral of the story: eat your chickpeas and add them to your baked good!

Great to serve to kids, to bring to a pot luck, to bake for a party, and to simply just have at home.
